The Cob is a unique cob house made from straw and lime render, supported by exposed Douglas fir timbers and with a living roof. Situated 30m away from our 200 year old stone cottage, it stands alone amongst four acres of gardens and wild meadows.
Surround yourselves in nature, enjoy sitting on the verandah where you will see red kite and buzzards overhead – you may even catch sight of a Roe Deer running through the meadows which back on to Brilley Wood.
Why not take a walk through our orchard to the bottom of the meadow where you will find our Shepherd's hut. It's a great place to sit in the evenings and watch the sun set over the Welsh hills.
Light the fire pit and enjoy a sundowner and the only sound you will hear is that of birds roosting in the adjoining woods.
This is a place to take in the fresh air and totally relax at our luxury adult only bed and breakfast on the borders of England and Wales, close to Hay-on-Wye.

What a very special place to stay! We loved just sitting on the Veranda watching the birds & the grasses blowing in the breeze.

Nature has a home here. Hours spent simply "being", with occasional forays into Hay. Simon and Lynn are the perfect hosts, every need attended to with such care.
